Cooking for a Cause – Friday April 9th

The Knights of Columbus Council #3331 has their giant cast-iron pot ready for the 17th Annual Spring Jambalaya Take-Out Lunch on Friday April 9th — with all sales benefiting Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.

Lunches are served at the Cancer Services building at 550 Lobdell Avenue. Pre-orders are $6 per plate and can be placed until Wednesday, April 7th. Walk-up orders the day of the event are $7 per plate. Meals include the Council’s signature dish of pork and sausage jambalaya with salad, bread and dessert. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the spring weather and eat under the tents on the grounds of Cancer Services.
Pre-ordered lunches will be ready for take-out at 11:45 a.m. Walk up orders will be ready at 12:00 p.m. Since 1993, the Knights of Columbus Council #3331 has contributed over $70,000 to Cancer Services through their Annual Spring Jambalaya Take-Out Lunch. They donate all overhead costs so that 100 percent of every purchase goes DIRECTLY to Cancer Services to help improve life for those living with cancer in this area.
“We are very thankful to Council #3331 for their dedication to this event year after year,” Cindi Tramonte, Cancer Services’ volunteer coordinator, said. “They are so enthusiastic and the food is delicious! It has become a favorite tradition across this area.”
