this is just my opinion but why not make it where you have to sign up for the website before you can comment on topics?

Because not everybody is computer or internet sauve.

Letting them post as unregistered takes the hassle of signing up and having to go to email to click the link to register.

It actually leads to more traffic/interest for a young site like this. Those that are here to read and pass on can comment, and those who want to be more involved can easily sign up and do so.

Eventually BR Today will most likely go to a sign up to comment, but it's still new. When you are attracting all demographics it's best to tip toe into the shallow end before diving off the high board.
