So what happened?
This site was beginning to build some steam (thanks to me and Red Stick and some others LOL) but it seemed to have taken about a 3 week vacation. Is this going to happen often or was that a one time issue? Let us know!

Hey Mike! Glad to see you made it back but not as glad as I am to see the site made it back! I tried to email the admin but the email bounced. I figure the site took a dive. Hopefully he will respond and fill us in. Time to get back to the chat!

Hi, Mike. We had a server issue that resulted in a data loss. We've taken steps to change the way we back up our data, which will prevent this in the future. Luckily it happened before the site got too big so not too much was lost. We recovered all of the images and will be getting the photo gallery back up momentarily. Thanks for visiting and don't forget to spread the word!

I just found this site! I must say it is nice to have a place to chat about Baton Rouge. I get tired of reading the news and not being able to get involved in the discussion of the topics. Great job with this site!

This is a great point. I work at a news outlet here in town and we get a lot of feedback on stories we run...it makes me realize how much a forum is needed for discussion on BR topics.

In addition to word of mouth advertising perhaps the administration should look at mobile advertising. As in automobile drivers who are not afraid of putting a sticker on their Window to help with site promotion.  |
