Shocker of the Week: Sanchez Brumfield Guilty in Olive Garden Slaying

This week, Sanchez Brumfield was found guilty of 1st degree murder in the shooting death of Aaron Arnold back in 2006 outside of the Olive Garden restaurant on Siegen Lane. While Brumfield wasn't the actual gunman in the incident, he reportedly gave the 'shoot them' command to the alleged shooter, Tracy Young.

Dionne Grayson and Aaron Arnold were putting gas in Grayson's car behind the restaurant when they were approached and shot. Grayson survived the shooting but Arnold was not so lucky. He was, however, lucky enough that Grayson got a good enough look at the two pieces of garbage responsible for this incident and that she survived to point them out to the jury at Brumfield's trial. Grayson deserves a medal of honor for her courage in testifying against Brumfield, in my opinion. A lot of people would be in fear of retaliation by thug friends and family for testifying, but that apparently didn't stop Grayson in this case. She's definitely a citizen that Baton Rouge and the Arnold family should be proud of.

The jury in Brumfield's case will now have to decide if he gets the death penalty or life in prison (both on our dime of course). I'm not going to make this article into a death penalty discussion, but i'd like to see them make the decision that costs the taxpayers the least in this case. Tracy Young will have his trial in the future, although I don't believe a date has been set. I can't understand why they didn't try them together, but i've not really looked into the case. It just seems like the jury would have been able to make a decision on both counts after hearing the same testimony from the witness. There's no doubt in my mind that Young will meet the same fate that Brumfield has met. At least for the Arnold and Taylor families, some good that will come out of all of this. For the parents of these 2 low life punks, perhaps if you had raised your kids to do something other than steal and kill, you wouldn't be sobbing over losing your sons now. At least you get to say goodbye to your sons though, unlike the Arnold family.

It's nice to see the justice system working somewhat. It may be 15 years of feeding and housing these 2 killers before TRUE justice is done, but at least they won't be roaming around with no jobs, killing more innocent citizens. So for now, 2 down, probably about 10,000 more killers to go.

Yes, the justice systems works if you don't have money to buy your freedom like other killers running around free.

DEATH! The jury reccommended the death penalty in this case last night. The news said that brumfields family was on the floor screaming crying and hollering after the plea was read. Thats good for them! Now they can truly see how their sons actions impacted the family of that poor boy who was shot in this senseless crime. I dont think he'll ever actually get the needle because I see this one being overturned. After all, he didn't actually pull the trigger, but he's just as guilty as the bum who did. Justice system 1, low life good for nothing murderers 0.

In Louisiana, if you participate in a crime that results in someone's death, you are just as guilty as the person who pulled the trigger or did whatever caused the death. Mr. "just shoot em" is just as guilty as the guy who pulled the trigger. He's more of a coward than a killer in my opinion so kudos to the jury for finding him guilty. Lets see how hard core he is on death row.

Aaron Arnold - Rip

Yes. I Am Glad To See That Justice Was Served In The Aaron Arnold Case. I Am Glad That These 2 Low Life Scums Are Off The Streets. I Am So Glad That He Received The Death Penalty. Aaron Didnt Get The Chance For Someone To Decide Life Or The Death Penalty. When These Two Evil And Horrible People Pulled Up On That Night Aaron Just Received Death Penalty. I Do Not Understand How 2 Low Lifes Who I Do Not Even Consider Human Beings Could Take Such A Precious Life Of Someone That Was Making Something Of Himself And Had Such A Bright Future And They Were Nothing But Thugs Living Off The Government And Robbing Innocent People. I Try To Be A Christian Person And I Hope God Forgives Me For This. But I Hope Those 2 Rot In Hell.

I doubt you'll get much disagreement from anyone who reads your post. Thanks for your thoughts.

I like the photo I saw of him online. It makes him looks like a cartoon character from TV. I hope justice is served and they follow through with the sentence they gave. But it doesn't always happen that way. Just this week there was the pizza delivery girl who was kidnapped and raped by a convicted rapist who was let out of jail YEARS early. I think the parole board should be held accountable. The girl should be able to sue them personally for everything they own or ever hope to own.

Sanchez Brumfield Guilt

I definitely feel that justice was served. However, who are we to determine what is best. I am a Christian and I would never say "Good For Them". I think that it's pretty sad that there is so much hate when Arnold's family has handled this situation with much dignity and respect. Not once did they call them scums, trash or any other names for that matter. Let God deal with these two. It is not our duty. My sympathy and prayers goes out to Arnold's family. I pray that God continues to bless them and bring them out of this time of bereavement.

Not the dealth penality.

I may be the only one who thinks that this sentence is wrong wrong wrong there has to be more to this story than what is being told. I dont believe that someone should recieve the dealth penality for being a witness to a murder. We do not know if he actually ordered the so called hit. The women who lived to tell. Is it possible that she got confused, is it possible that the police and prosecutors incouraged her to come up with that phrase. We do not know. So the name calling is very childish. Not only that but I am convinced that who ever is responsible for the taking of Arnolds life he will be dealt with by The Most High. Who ever is without sin may he cast the first stone. People need to be very careful about the posture you set for yourself. Never wish bad on no man. The killing of Arnold was senseless, however everything happens for a reason so let God deal with it.
