So here we go with the eyesores of Baton Rouge ranting. There are so many, I really dont know where to begin. I haven't had a chance to photograph some of the REALLY good (bad) ones yet, but here is a great little start. I am fortunate enough to get to pass this lovely little slice of heaven on a daily basis as I work somewhat near to this apartment complex.
As long as I've been seeing this lovely 3 piece living room set sitting here for so long, I must say its become commonplace to see it. Really the only issue I have here is that the owner had the audacity to go with the plaid couch when any good decorator knows that solid colors are in. Sure the colors of the plaid fit right in to the earth tones, but how dare he decorate with plaid when so many people have to pass by here.
You have to give credit where credit is due and they did at least dump the garbage near the dumpsters, which are so cleverly placed RIGHT OUT ON THE STREET. I spoke with the guy who cuts the grass at this complex and he begged me not to report this scene to the owner. He said that having a living room in the grass saves him a minimum of 12 minutes per cutting and that he no longer has to go back to his truck to sit back and take a break. Now he can actually do it while he runs his weedeater around the rubbish.
If you can make time to get out of the house, don't sell yourself short. Make a pass by and take in the beauty of it all. We all dream about having a living room right out in the yard so we can enjoy nature as it were intended to be. The folks at Sherwood Park Apartments weren't afraid to make their dreams a reality!
