A very severe weather system is moving through the Baton Rouge are currently, dumping huge amounts of rain and causing power outtages all over EBR and Livingston Parishes. Several roads are currently underwater and getting deeper. Most are passable but several are already impassable.

This weather is the result of two separate storms that have literally collided over Baton Rouge around 3:00 yesterday. Several areas reported golf ball sized hail while others reported seeing funnel clouds over areas of Livingston Parish. No touchdowns were reported.

The National Weather Service has recently issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Ascension Parish, including Gonzales, Donaldsonville and Prairiville.
