That is really sick. And, she is allowed to get away with it! I guess if you have money (or inherit money from the person you kill) you can get away with murder in Baton Rouge. Good Job DA!!!!

Yes its sick, but I doubt she's getting away with it. I'm sure there's more to the story that's just not making it to the press. Every murder in Baton Rouge doesn't get constant coverage from the press and the only thing that makes this one any different from others is that her husband was rich. That's not really just cause for every step of the case to make headlines. Its possible her attorney keeps filing motions prolonging the obvious but thats just not big enough news to hit the front page.

I see what you are saying but this is NEVER in the news. And, it's been 4 years.

I want to know why she isn't going to trial any time soon? Doesn't her ex husband have any family that cares that she is out spending his money, living free?

Her lawyers keep getting continuations for one reason or another. They want to keep doing that until the judge finally just throws it out and she doesn't have to go on trial. I guess it is working.... our justice system is a bit screwed up, don't you think?
Anyway.... meanwhile, she lives free and although the estate is tied up, pending the trial, all she has to do is prove that the money she asks the estate lawyer for is for the children and she gets it. Her house, her vehicles, everything is pretty much covered. She has a team of 7 lawyers! And they are paid for by his estate. Yes, money does buy you out of alot of things, but murder? Give me a break! And this is just one thing the police have investigated on her. She has been investigated for several things, here and in Vegas. I believe what goes around comes around. She will get hers, eventually.

This is really sad. I blame the judge. Letting this woman run around free is very sad.
