Raise your protest NIMBY, so once again the loop won't be built and we can all bitch and whine about progress never getting done here...

Once again the IDKC ( I Don't Know Crap ) , crowd speaks in ignorance... If you had payed attention, he did say " If a north loop must be, then put it on the north side of central or between baton rouge and central, not through the city."
Although Central should not be forced to solve the problems of the inept EBR planners, But since the EBR School System did the same thing to Central for so long I guess they decided to give it a try..

putting it between baton rouge and central would create more traffic, as the baton rouge to central corridors are already jammed up.
See, what they are trying to do is LIGHTEN the traffic load, not make it more congested....

That is incorrect Sir.. Putting it north of Central will LIGHTEN the local traffic in Central due to the fact the much of the traffice moving through Central is Livingston Parish residents traveling back and forth to Baton Rouge, instead of cutting through the middle of Central where the residents of Central are moving around inside of Central. In fact the most reasonable thing would be to widen the bridge that already exist, instead of cutting through the heart of the City of Central. It would rely on right of way , exits, and infrastructure that already exist instead of Forcing Home Owners off of their land and ruining the Citys Center for a " For Profit " toll road which will be financed at least in part by Forigen Investors.. Which at a minimum is unethical if not Illegal. This is America and I don't think that Forigen Inverstors should be allowed to Force citizens off their land so that they can make a profit. The City of Central has spent much time Developing a " Master Plan " to control its growth in a positive way, unlike others who allow developers to run wild and end up being " locked " inside thier developments because they did not upgrade their infrastructure first. I am proud to be a long time resident of Central and as most residents do I realize that there will be an mass migration into Central once the School test scores are made public, Therefore we must demand " controlled and quality " progress in Centra, not "progess and any cost " which often ends up being a curse instead of a blessing.
Thank you for your concern for the City of Central and Happy New Year

Thats exactly what his suggestion is. He said he didnt think it should go between Baton Rouge and Central, which to me would be around the Greenwell Springs Rd corridor. Sunny is in agreement about it being moved north of Central.

A Loop in city of Baton Rouge
The whole purpose of a loop is first to relieve traffic & get the 18 wheelers caring toxins outside our city limits. Loops are designed OUTSIDE of a city not between Baton Rouge & Central (that only adds to the problem we have now) Hwy 190 is one of the major roads in the city that takes Denham-Walker- Watson- & Satsuma commuters into town, to work. The hwy flows better than the interstate 12, and now you are recommending bringing all of Central to O''Neal Lane that is a waste of my hard earned taxes.
I do not want to pay taxes for another loop in the future as this plan will have to be revised in the future again.

Its pretty much a given that any roadway will have to be revised in the future. Airline hwy just got 3 laned, I-12 received a 3 lane facelift, I-10 is receiving a 3 lane facelift, Millerville Road and most of Old Hammond Hwy are now 4 lanes. Does everyone really think the capital city of the state is just going to reach a certain population and taper off? Anyone have a picture of Florida @ Airline in 1950 when it was a 4 way stop? I wonder if anyone protested when they overlayed Florida Blvd and connected it with Denham Springs.

So by your logic, we may as well just quit building new roads and highways since they'll all need to be revised in the future. Hell of a plan.

IT"S NOT USING TAXES!!!!!
It's being funded by the tolls generated and by federal grants. The citizens will be paying NOTHING but the tolls for this road.
Let me say that again...
No New Taxes for the loop.
You won't be paying for the loop with tax money, but rather bonds paid for by tolls and maybe a private/public partnership to finance (CA uses this to fund and operate some of their toll roads.)
