Oh yeah! Thats when they still had 20 possible routes.

The good news is that whatever they do it will probably take them 15 to 20 years and buy then i am sure they will have changed their minds.

Denham Loop
I think it is a wonderful idea to have the loop go through Arnold Road. It won't mess many Businesses up and the potential of this area growing even more. It would actually help the businesses that are close to the area. If you picked the route that goes through linder road it would cause problems with that little plant that is on it. I think that wouldn't be too enviroment safe. The route that goes through Arnold Road area is the perfect area.

BR Loop
This BR Loop is Baton Rouge's problem not Ascension so keep it in BR. I live in St. Amant on land that was in my family for 100 years. And now we may lose it because of this BR Loop my neigherhood consist of my grandparents, parents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and cousins. No amount of money can buy this place. We live here because we chose to be away from the main highways. KEEP BATON ROUGE OUT OF ASCENSION. There are many other options like widen Airline Hwy and the Interstates we have now. What about the Double Decker Interstates like that have in other states. But I guess people are not smart enough to think of this.

Unfortunately anywhere you live is subject to be a victim of urban sprawl. You know at one point, everyone lived out in the country and away from the main highways. Where would we be if everyone was against expansion and growth? I'm not sure id be content taking a horse drawn carriage to the office down a gravel road, but hey, that's just me.

well, then start small with staying out of Baton Rouge. If you think that everyone in Ascension stays there and doesn't work in the big city, then maybe we should just close off all the roads to St. Amant. That is such a NIMBY cry and when we do expand all the roads you mentioned then fill all the farmland with Walmarts and apartments, then it will be too late to add the loop to help with that congestion.

BTW, those double decker interstates you see are many times more expensive to build and we would have to take all the land by the interstates in order to build them. But I guess those peoples' feelings don't count as long as your land is safe...

Mudbug,

I don't go to baton rouge because i spend my money in ascension parish. I would love for you to close the roads to st. amant and ascension then all you jerks wouldn't have all of the plant jobs. As long as my land is safe you are right I don't care about anyones feelings or what the hell you think.

These people who have nothing at stake don't care. I live on family land and just built my house a year ago. So I have lots to lose not just money land that was hand down to me from my great grandfather. So I know how you feel.

I also live on family owned land. I know most people will not get how we feel about our land. Might sound like a NIMBY CRY to you. but it is our right to feel the way we do. Other options needs to be found. I don`t care about how exspesive this project is. No need in forcing anyone off of their land. Most people who are for this project has nothing to lose.

Then you shouldn't have any problem with a government that doesn't care about your feelings or what you think.

That was simple enough. Thanks for clearing it up.
