Local doctor, Donald Auzine, Arrested on Drug Charges
Federal agents raided a doctor's office in Gonzales Thursday night.
They hit the New Image Health and Wellness Center, which is run by a fairly well known doctor - Donald Auzine.
Agents confiscated files, medical records, and receipts.
Drug enforcement agents say they believe...

Dr. Auzine would never put his patients in harms way...ever
I personally know that Dr. Auzine would never, Never put his patients in any harm, and only cares for them at the time of need. He does everything by the books, checks and makes sure that every patient is on a plan and sticks to it. Dr. Auzine takes people off most medications and puts them on something that is 1)safer for the patient and 2)reduces there intake as needed. Dr. Auzine would not have the reputation he has if he did things any other way.
Simply put, Dr. Auzine is a good Doctor and prides in his patients...given them what the need versus what they want!
A friend for life.....

Dr. Auzine
While I do hope he is innocent...
Seems sketch that someone planted illegal drugs in his home and that amount of money... what's the reason for that? Taking investing tips from Bill Jefferson?
To those who know him. Is he bisexual or gay? I've seen & heard some things which makes me wonder. I know he has a daughter but many gay guys do.
His e-mail address?

Well known obviously doesn't mean well educated or well informed.

I have no idea what that means, but even if it has something to do with 9/11, it doesn't matter. Your parents would have my sympathy. You however, get no sympathy, because thats not what we are talking about. You are a dope.

A friend of mine began visiting this doctor two years ago for detox using Suboxone. I paid for it. After a year or so I emailed him to question why he didn't reduce her dosage and ween her off like the maker of the drug prescribes. He did answer my email but didn't answer my question. After another year it became obvious to me he liked the $350.00 per week she paid him for those 30 pills. She's still addicted to those. So I knew he was in it for the money.
I believe he is probably guilty as charged. I can not imagine anyone planting $200,000.00 in his home. I guess the pain pill drug makers could afford to do that since I'm sure they don't want anyone on detox. But seems like they would have done that to some other doctors prescribing Suboxone by now.
I don't know what the contributing to the del. of a minor was for. Does anyone else?
I think he will be found guilty. I believe there are some facts of the case which have yet to be published. If nothing else he's going to have the I.R.S. all over him for the rest of his life. I couldn't serve on the jury because I had decided he was guilty a long time ago from the way he handled the detox.
I hope they go after the other doctors in town who hand out pain pills like candy. Not mentioning names but there's the lady doctor "D" who thinks nothing of prescribing 160 soma tabs at a time with a side order of 60 Valiums. Then there's the infamous doctor "Z" who will happily give out pills to any attractive young woman. I hope they all go to prison and lose everything they have.
I wish the government would just make ALL drugs legal without prescriptions, even the illicit ones so the addicts would just go ahead and kill themselves and the drug dealers would go out of business.

Brent, thanks for your contribution. You are correct about the part that says there are plenty of unpublished facts. Since he is in the business of distributing prescriptions for drugs, whichever agency handled this investigation had to have plenty of hard evidence before they got warrants to search his home and his office. You can bet its a slam dunk of a case or it would have never gotten to this level. It's ashame about your friend and I hope them the best.

Dr. Auzine
I hope none of these allegations are true and Dr. Auzine is allowed to practice medicine again soon. From getting to know Dr. Auzine as a patient, I believe him to be a caring and knowledgable doctor and has helped me tremendously. I owe him a debt of gratitude for all he has done for me but I can't help but feel a little let down. Dr. Auzine has so many patients that rely on him for his medical practice and now he isn't there. Where are his patients supposed to turn? Dr. Auzine is not your conventional doctor, he has views and isn't afraid to speak them and is willing to provide his patients with treatments that most other doctors are afraid to try even though they work. Dr. Auzine has been a blessing to me and I hope I can do something for him at some point. If his family would set up an organization on his behalf, I would donate money and time to see that Dr. Auzine is allowed to practice. The world is a better place with Dr. Auzine practicing medicine.

The fact they found $200,000.00 in CASH in his home tells me that we've all been donating money to him for a long time. I'll wait until I hear all the facts of the case before feeling sorry for him, especially until I hear what the "contributing to the minor" charge stems from. If they had only found a little pot or a few X pills it would have been different. But they found enough to charge him with distribution. Those may have been getting into the hands of our children. I don't believe he will be practicing medicine again if this turns out to be true.

So even if he's found guilty, you're willing to overlook him dealing drugs to minors based on the good that he's done? How can you possibly think that his good deeds outweigh these severe charges? How about all the people that rely on him for their illegal drugs and not just the legal ones? If he's handing out poison to the community, i'd say that overshadows the good that he's done. Yes he should be recognized for the good and I have no problem acknowledging it, but its apparent that he has been leading a double life.
I wonder if they found that money in his freezer?
