Death Penalty against Fruit Stand Murder Suspect

East Baton Rouge Parish prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Derrick Williams.
Williams is accused of shooting 71-year-old Alfred Mequet at Pete's Farmers Market, a fruit stand.
Aaron Brooks stated the district attorney's office felt it was appropriate to seek the death penalty.
Thursday, an East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury returned a first-degree murder indictment.
Williams will be arraigned Friday morning.

The death penalty won't be enough for this chump. Not only that, but we'll have to pay to house this thug for the 12 years its going to take to put him on ice finally. Justice

I'd buy tickets to this if they aired it on pay per view. Hopefully this coward is getting the treatment he deserves in prison.

He'll probably have to wait 2 or 2 years before the trial finally happens and by then he'll get his prison education, get his law degree, convert to Muslim, and spend all that time screaming racism at the court. It was a senseless murder and I am ashamed that he didnt put up a fight with the cops, resulting in a "suicide by cop". At least that would have save us some taxpayer $$$
