Seven Shootings In 3 Days In Baton Rouge

BRPD is now investigating seven shootings, all happening in the last three days. Four people were killed in three of the shootings.

It started on Saturday afternoon around 2 pm with a shooting on North 30th and Bogan Walk. Police say that one claimed the life of 22-year-old James Arthur but so far no suspects have been arrested.

A short time later there was a shooting on Beechwood Avenue, where a man was shot in the ankle, but he is said to be in stable condition. Investigators say shots were also fired Saturday afternoon on both Fairwood Drive and Cherry Street too--but no one was hit.

Saturday evening, Police were called out on a fifth shooting on Alliquipa Street, where one young man was transported by EMS to a local hospital.
On Sunday, the violence continued with a deadly shooting on Silverleaf Street. Sheriff's deputies say 27-year-old Cedrick Pearson and 31-year-old William Ribley shot and killed each other after an argument.

A seventh shooting happened around 3 a.m. Monday morning in the 2500 block of Laurel Street. Police say a 39-year-old man was shot multiple times while riding his bicycle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Six of the shootings are still under investigation, so if you know the person or persons responsible for any of these shootings, call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.

I like the two that argued and then killed each other. That pretty well settled the situation without costing taxpayers a mint.

Agreed. Note to thugs: Poppin' a cap in your enemies while they pop one into you is the coolest. Try it out in Belaire AWAY from Sunny, or just go to Zion City, Glen Oaks, or Gardere.

If the thugs could only read, the crime problem would go away.

Finally, some justice in this out of control city. Why can't we get this lucky every time?
