Baton Rouge had a very violent weekend with 4 shootings and 1 stabbing city wide. The incidents resulted in 2 fatalies and at least 2 arrests.

One shooting on S. 15th Street resulted in the death of 19 year old Barry Heard. The Goodwood Blvd shooting also resulted in a fatality. Officers found Brent Cole sitting in his vehicle near Independence Park, with several gunshot wounds. Cole died at the hospital. No other details are available.
