Holy Hell! The more I hear about this pay raise, the more it ticks me off! Did the legislators run for office for the money and benefits or to serve the public? How do they justify this gouging to their constituents? And how in the world can Gov. Jindal say he's against the bill, but will not veto it? I understand the quid pro quo concept, but this is ridiculous. He should not let this happen just to get his way on other pet projects. The people of this state should come first.

The lawyers "serving" the public have law firms in which lower level people do most of the work. The principle doesn't work as hard, so they have the time to do public service. Yet they complain that they've been in session for nearly six months this year and they deserve to be compensated for it. Well, I've worked approximately 250 extra hours so far this year and I'm salary; forget ANY overtime pay. What can I do? Well I could look for another job or just bend over and take it because I don't have the option of giving myself a pennies more worth of compensation.

AHHHH, I'm going to bed!
