It's not like they are forced to do the job...
It's as if I went to work at the adult bookstore so I can watch the videos for free, then demand everyone around to pay me money so I can make a living, too.
It's something they want to do, and the pay is something that goes with it... that is why it is called public SERVICE, and it's an elected position, not some job applicant and the state is the boss.
If Jindal vetoes it, will the legislature go on strike?
Or will they do what they normally do, get swooned by lobbyists and go to their lawyer practice?
