Consolidatiing will improve communications, however it wont put anymore boots on the ground that aren't already there. What is needed people, is Public / Private Partnership (PPP). this process will free up many law enforcement officers so that they CAN concentrate on the real issues at hand, CRIME. It also saves taxpayer money as well....But as we all know Baton Rouge is slow to change. Perhaps with the advent of Katrina and Rita and an influx of people into the Baton Rouge area over the past several years...Baton Rouge will be forced to change, it wont have any choice in the matter....let's hope!
