How often do we see a stranded motorist on the highway and just keep on driving not knowing what kind of problem or problems they may be having? How hard is it to stop and make sure they have help on the way or have a cell phone to call for help? I've done it myself plenty of times and have seen dozens of others do it as well. One man, Carl Falconer is not that kinda guy. Carl stopped on I-10 to help a stranded motorist change a flat tire. While retrieving a jack from the trunk of the car, another vehicle struck Carl and the vehicle he was standing behind. The accident ultimately resulted in Carl having both of his legs amputated. Unfortunately Carl's insurance will not cover the surgery for his artificial legs which will top out at around $20,000.00. This morning on WJBO, another great citizen of Baton Rouge, Mr. Clarence Buggs dedicated his program to collecting money to help Carl Falconer with his medical bills.
Regions Bank has set up a fund in which anyone can make a donation to help out Carl. Lets do the right thing and help out this great fellow citizen of Baton Rouge just as he was attempting to help his fellow citizen at the time of this awful tragedy.
