Widening Airline hwy is getting done too. The double decker interstate is more costly then anything else.
Another reason that this loop is coming to fruition before the other roads get widened is because most (if not all) of the loop is federal money and public /private partnerships (Read: tolls). those other projects are DOTD and with a $14 BILLION backlog, Ascension parish will have the sprawl of Baton Rouge before DOTD gets the money to upgrade the necessary roads.
Your parish president is excited about the coming loop.
Just because you are a landowner for 100+ years doesn't mean yours is the only voice on this.
This loop will help people living in Ascension traveling to Baton Rouge who currently have an hour commute.
