Alison Gibbs Cascio, a Republican, graduated from LSU with a B.S. in geography in 2000. Prior to taking office in January 2009, she worked at the Center for Planning Excellence (CPEX), a non-profit organization that assists Louisiana parishes and municipalities with community planning. Alison began her career at the City-Parish Planning Commission in 2001 and went on to serve as a legislative aide to former Councilman David Boneno.
