In observance of the Labor Day Holiday weekend Travel Period there are no scheduled lane closures from the evening of Friday, September 2, 2011 thru the evening of Monday, September 5, 2011. Here are the lane closures that will take place from August 30th thru September 1st:

Tuesday night 8-30- 2011

• Dependent on weather, westbound traffic from Juban Road to Amite River Bridge will be reduced to one lane for shift of temporary barriers and installation of temporary pavement markers between the hours of 8pm and 5am. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution in these areas as crews perform work.

Tuesday night 8-30-11 from 8:00 P.M. – 5:00 A.M.

• I-12 Eastbound, the left lane will be closed between Millerville and the O’Neal lane onramp.

Tuesday night 8-30-11 from 8:00 P.M. – 5:00 A.M.

• I-12 Westbound, the left lane will be closed between the Amite River Bridge and the O’Neal lane onramp.

Tuesday night 8-30-11 from 8:00 P.M. – 5:00 A.M.

• O’Neal Lane under I-12 will experience intermittent closures in both northbound and southbound lanes.

Wednesday night 8-31-11 from 8:00 P.M. – 5:00 A.M.

• I-12 Eastbound, the left lane will be closed between Millerville and the O’Neal lane onramp.

Wednesday night 8-31-11 from 8:00 P.M. – 5:00 A.M.

• I-12 Westbound, the left lane will be closed between the Amite River Bridge and the O’Neal lane onramp.

Wednesday night 8-31-11 from 8:00 P.M. – 5:00 A.M.

• O’Neal Lane under I-12 will experience intermittent closures in both northbound and southbound lanes.

• Dependent on weather, westbound traffic from Juban Road to Amite River Bridge will be reduced to one lane for shift of temporary barriers and installation of temporary pavement markers between the hours of 8pm and 5am. Traffic will be shifted to the new roadway surface starting just west of Juban Road Overpass all the way to just east of the Amite River Bridge. During this time the Juban Exit Ramp, Range Avenue Exit Ramp and Range Avenue Entrance Ramps will be closed intermittently due to the installation of temporary pavement markings. West bound traffic is encouraged to use Exit 15 (Walker, La.) or Exit 7 (O’Neal Lane) Local motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes via 4H Club Road, US 190, Pete’s Hwy and Juban Road. The traveling public is urged to use extreme caution in these areas as crews perform work.

Wednesday September 7, 2011

• Dependent on weather, the entrance ramp at Range Avenue will be closed due to the installation of temporary precast barriers and temporary pavement markings between the hours of 8pm and 5am. Daily traffic at the entrance ramp will be down to one lane from September 2011 to December 2011 due to reconstruction of the existing roadway. Local motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes via 4H Club Road, US 190, Pete’s Hwy and Juban Road. The traveling public is urged to use extreme caution in these areas as crews perform work.
