Baton Rouge Police Violent Crimes Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday August 6, 2011 around 7:00pm at a carwash located at 2389 North Sherwood Forest Blvd.
Preliminary investigation indicates the suspects as a white male and while female, who arrived at the carwash driving a brown or maroon colored four-door Pontiac and parked in a wash bay. At the same time, the victim, a white male, arrived in a white Chevy pickup-truck with distinct toolboxes and parked in the wash bay next to the suspect’s vehicle. Shortly thereafter, the white male suspect shot the victim. Police believe the suspect then loaded the victim’s body into the Pontiac and drove away. The female suspect left the area driving the victim’s white pickup.
At approximately 8:30pm the same night, Baton Rouge Police received information that the body of a white male had been located under a bridge on Black Mud Road in Livingston Parish between Satsuma and Walker. Upon further investigation into the body, detectives believe this body is the victim from the carwash shooting in Baton Rouge, however the victim has not identified at this time.

Baton Rouge Police Violent Crimes Detectives arrested JEANPAUL RENE CREPPEL 34,12824 PECOS AVE. CENTRAL and DANIELLE CHARIE PALERMO 26, SAME ADDRESS, this morning around 8:00am at their home, for the shooting that occurred Saturday August 6, 2011 at a carwash located at 2389 North Sherwood Forest. Both were charged with FIRST DEGREE MURDER, ILLEGAL USE OF A WEAPON and ARMED ROBBERY.
After receiving an anonymous tip from a caller who said they saw the vehicles involved on WAFB Channel 9 the night of the shooting, Baton Rouge Police Violent Crimes Detectives found the brown Pontiac and white Chevy pick-up Sunday morning around 8:00am parked in the driveway of their home in Central, 12824 Pecos Avenue. Police removed both vehicles from the home.
During the course of the investigation, detectives determined the body found under a bridge on Black Mud Road in Livingston Parish between Satsuma and Walker was the man who was shot at the carwash earlier Saturday evening on North Sherwood Forest. He was identified as 30 yr old JONATHAN ELLIS of 5553 Goodland, Greenwell Springs.
Both suspects were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail.
