Baton Rouge Police Execute Search Warrant on Jefferson’s Home

UPDATE: 

During the execution of the search warrant at the home of Jordan Jefferson, police seized 49 pair of tennis shoes, including the ones he was wearing at the time. At this time Baton Rouge Police are not going to release the details as to why the shoes were removed from the home.

Today, Thursday August 25, 2011 the investigation continues. No arrest are expected today.

Baton Rouge Police Investigators executed a search warrant today, Wednesday August 24, 2011, at the home of LSU football player Jordan Jefferson.  During the course of the investigation, police gathered enough probable cause to obatin a warrant for Jefferson’s home.  The purpose of the warrant was to search for certain items that will assist in the ongoing investigation that will help either prove or disprove allegations against Jefferson.

In addition to the search warrant for the home, officers also executed a search warrant, which allowed police to obtain a DNA swab from Jefferson himself.  The purpose of the DNA was also to assist in the ongoing investigation that will help either prove or disprove the allegations against Jefferson.

Mr. Jefferson was present at the time of the execution, his attorney arrived shortly thereafter.
