In lieu of the current financial status of the City Parish, Mayor Kip Holden has requested that the Metro Council freeze his current salary of $127,000.00 and not give him the normal 3% increase that is coming due under his normal pay plan. Holden stated that he wanted the mayor’s salary frozen until the beginning of the next term which is in 2013.
