Producers of the independent movie, “Transit,” plan to close a portion of Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard near Metro Airport on Thursday, August 26.

Veteran’s Memorial between Progress Road and Blount Road will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday for the filming. The movie stars Jim Caviezel, who has also appeared in “Déjà vu” and “The Passion of the Christ.”

The production is working with the Baton Rouge Police Department and City-Parish Traffic Engineering officials to ensure that Thursday’s filming goes smoothly.
